EVO 2018: Cooler Announced For Dragon Ball FighterZ

During the third day of EVO 2018, Bandai Namco debuted a new trailer that focuses on the base Goku and base Vegeta DLC coming to Dragon Ball FighterZ later this month. At the very end, it was announced Cooler will be the next character that will be joining the game’s roster.


Dragon Ball FighterZ is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Persona Q2 New Cinema Labyrinth Gets New Trailer

Two days after seeing our first look at Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth via a TV commercial, Atlus has released a new trailer.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth will launch on Nintendo 3DS on November 29th in Japan. A western localization has not been announced.

This week’s Famitsu magazine will contain a 10 page coverage of the game, including an interview with the developers.

EVO 2018: Bandai Namco Announces Tekken 7 Season Pass 2 [Update With Anna Williams and Lei Wulong Screenshots]

Kicking off day three of EVO 2018, Bandai Namco has revealed the second season pass for Tekken 7. Season Pass 2 will be packaged with 6 characters that will be released in the future.

The first of three characters were revealed today. These include: the long requested ‘Anna Williams’, returning character ‘Lei Wulong’, and a surprising guest appearance from AMC’s The Walking Dead series ‘Negan’.

Tekken 7 is out now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.



EVO 2018: Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct Announces For August 8

Minutes before the Super Smash Bros Melee Grand Finals at EVO 2018, Nintendo reveals the date for the Super Smash Bros Ultimate Direct on August 8.

Super Smash Bros Ultimate was first reveal at E3 2018, and releasing to the Nintendo Switch on December 7 this year.

EVO 2018: Arc System Works Reveals A New Guilty Gear Title In-Development

After the Guilty Gear Xrd: Rev 2 finals concluded at EVO 2018, Arc System Works CEO Minoru Kidooka revealed on the EVO stage a new Guilty Gear title is currently in-development.

Kidooka’s comment (via Gematsu)

Unfortunately, Guilty Gear director Daisuke Ishiwatari couldn’t be here today, but he is hard at work on a new Guilty Gear title, and while we can’t show it to you today, please wait a little longer.

No additional information was shared such as the name of the new Guilty Gear title or footage.

Terry Bogard Coming to Fighting Ex Layer; Pullum and Vulcano Coming End of August-September

Akira has announced some of their new plans for Fighting Ex Layer going forward. The first is an update for two new playable characters ‘Pullum Purna’ and ‘Vulcano Rosso’, which will drop sometime at the end of the month or in September.

Akira will also be bringing the game to Arcades in North America sometime in the future. Only briefly seen at the end of the video, Terra Bogard has been confirmed to be joining the game’s roster. Sharon and Area were also teased at the very end.


To celebrate Evo 2018, Fighting Ex Layer will be on sale on PSN until August 14th. The light version will be 10% off, or if you are a PS Plus member, you can get 44% of the normal price. The standard version is also 10% off for normal users, or 34% off for PS Plus subscribers.

EVO 2018: BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Next Three DLC Packs Adds New Persona characters & More

During today’s EVO 2018 BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle tournament, Arc System Works announced the next three DLC Packs will be available for purchase on August 6th in North America.

DLC Pack 3 contains: Izayoi, Mitsuru Kirijo, and Merkava. The fourth DLC Pack will feature: Akihiko Sanada, Mai (Natsune), and Yuzuhira. The fifth DLC Pack will include: Labyrs, Nine (The Phantom), and Mika.

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle is now available on the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth Launches November 29th in Japan; First TV Spot Released

During today’s broadcast of the latest episode of Persona 5: The Animation, Atlus aired the first commerical for Persona Q2: New Cinema Labyrinth. The game will feature Persona 3, 4, and 5 characters, and will release in Japan on Nintendo 3DS this year on November 29th. A Western localization is yet to be announced.

The first trailer is said to be dropping on August 6th at 12PM Japan time. Famitsu will feature over 10 pages of coverage in this week’s issue, containing new information and interview with the developer. You can visit the official Japanese site for the game here.

Dragon Quest XI – “The Loyal Companions” Character Trailer And Screenshots

With Dragon Quest XI nearing the Western market in a month time, Square Enix has shared a new english trailer that focuses on introducing the main cast to the viewer.

Additionally, new screenshots and renders were released for each individual character in the game. Those can all be viewed at the latest video below.

Dragon Quest XI is out now in Japan on PlayStation 4 and 3DS. In North America, Europe and Australia, the game will arrive on PlayStation 4 and PC on September 4th.
