Hitman 2 Officially Announced

After days of teasing, Io Interactive and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has officially announced Hitman 2 will be launching on November 13th for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

An overview of the game from Warner Bros.

Hitman 2 takes players on a global adventure across a mix of bustling international locations, including a vibrant Miami setting with the colorful ambience of an in-progress motorsport race bringing a new backdrop to the series. From sun-drenched streets to dark and dangerous rainforests, each intricate location provides multiple paths to discover and unparalleled game depth.

Continuing the ultimate spy thriller story, Hitman 2 allows players to take on the role of the masterful Agent 47 and embark on a mission to hunt the elusive Shadow Client and unravel his militia once and for all. However, when 47 learns the hidden truth about his past, nothing will ever be the same.

Hitman 2 introduces new ways to play with the Sniper Assassin mode, a standalone feature that brings a co-op experience to the Hitman series for the first time, allowing two players to work together online to take down their targets. Sniper Assassin can also be enjoyed in a single player mode for those who want to play as Agent 47.

Persona 3 Dancing & Persona 5 Dancing Games Coming to West Early Next Year

Atlus has announced that both Persona 3 Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight will be rolling into North America and Europe on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita early next year. The game will feature all the songs included in the Japanese version,  English and Japanese dubs, and English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles.

An overview of the game via PlayStation Blog:

Both Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight will be launching in the Americas and Europe early 2019! Both games will feature all of the songs included in their original Japanese versions, as well as a full English dub, dual audio options, and English, French, Italian, German, and Spanish subtitles.

Both games come complete with dozens of fan-favorite songs from the original Persona 3 and Persona 5 by Shoji Meguro, composed by Ryota Kozuka, as well as all-new remixes by ATOLS, Lotus Juice, ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo / block.fm), Jazztronik, and more. You’ll start out with only a small selection of songs, but as you complete them, you’ll unlock more songs, dancers, partners, and costumes to customize your perfect performance.

Getting started in P3D/P5D is simple – choose a song, select a difficulty level, select your dancer(s), and get on with the show! After that, all you need to do is time button presses with the on-screen prompts in time with the music, and you’ll be jamming along with your favorite Persona series characters. There’s also an auto-play mode in case you just want to enjoy some catchy songs and expertly-choreographed dance routines (auto-play won’t count for progression, though).

Want to take a break and connect with the members of SEES or the Phantom Thieves? As you complete specified songs and accomplish various objectives, you’ll start to unlock “Social” event scenes between characters. These scenes offer a fun look into character personalities and relationships with each other; some “Social” scenes will also unlock new items after they’re viewed!

Both titles will be present and playable at Electronic Entertainment Expo next week. For the full E3 2018 Atlus and Sega’s lineup, be sure to check out our previous post where we detailed that.

Tetris EFFECT Coming to PS4/PSVR

Today is the first day of Sony’s countdown until the start of E3 2018. Starting today, Sony plans to announce new games almost every day and a release date for a Sony Worldwide Studios title.

The first game to be revealed for the countdown to E3 2018 is Tetris EFFECT, coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation VR. It seems to follow the normal gameplay of the classic Tetris, but it adds a new neon effect and is more colorful. The game is currently planned for a Fall 2018 release.

Named after a real-world phenomenon where players’ brains are so engrossed that images of the iconic falling Tetrimino blocks (i.e. the Tetris playing pieces) linger in their vision, thoughts, and even dreams, TETRIS® EFFECT amplifies this magical feeling of total immersion by surrounding you with fantastic, fully three-dimensional worlds that react and evolve based on how you play. Music, backgrounds, sounds, special effects—everything, down to the Tetris pieces themselves, pulse, dance, shimmer, and explode in perfect sync with how you’re playing.

From deep beneath the ocean to the furthest reaches of outer space and everywhere between, TETRIS® EFFECT’s 30-plus stages take players on a wondrous, emotional journey through the universe. The core of the game is still Tetris—one of the most popular puzzle games of all time—but like you’ve never seen it, or heard it, or felt it before.
