Insomniac Games reveals in the PlayStation Blog three new suits will be included in the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist DLC.
The Heist Overview
A robbery at an art museum entangles Spider-Man and MJ with an old flame from Peter Parker’s past, Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat. Beyond new story missions, there’s a whole new faction of enemies, new crimes, new challenges, new trophies, and of course, three brand new suits.
The Heist will add three new suits:
Resilient Suit, by famed Marvel illustrator Gabriele Dell’Otto
Spider-Man’s suit from Scarlet Spider II
Spider-UK suit from the Spider-Verse
The Heist is the first episode in the Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps series, will be available in the PlayStation Store on October 23. It will be sold at US$9.99 individually or with the The City That Never Sleeps series at US$24.99.
In the latest “Inside Marvel’s Spider-Man” video, Marvel and Insomniac Games discussed the 5 villains of the “Sinister Six”, and explained how they re-imagined and modernized these villains for Marvel’s Spider-Man.
In Marvel’s Spider-Man, Peter Parker faces some of his greatest foes — Electro, Vulture, Rhino, Scorpion, and Mister Negative. Insomniac and Marvel Games shares how they chose and adapted each Super Villain for the game.
Marvel’s Spider-Man was launched on September 7th, exclusively to the PlayStation 4.
Marvel went behind the scenes in Marvel’s Spider-Man with Insomniac Games developers to create “a sense of flow, a fluid-y momentum” web-swinging mechanics.
The developers wanted a simple control scheme that is easy to learn and also have depth for experience players.
When the developers were building New York City, they wanted the city to be a “super hero’s playground”. It means that every and all surfaces can be traveled on. The trickiest was the fire escapes which now Spider-Man can web-tunneled through.
Marvel’s Spider-Man is launching exclusively on PlayStation 4 on September 7.
The first chapter of Marvel’s Spider-Man: The City That Never Sleeps is Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, and it will be released on October 23. As you play the base game, you’ll realize that Felicia Hardy, aka Black Cat, is back in town and she’s leaving clues around town to toy with Spider-Man. In Marvel’s Spider-Man: The Heist, she finally reveals herself. Featuring new missions and challenges, as well as a brand new faction of enemies and three additional suits to unlock, you won’t want to miss it.
“The Heist” is the first chapter in the three-part DLC series called “The City That Never Sleeps”. The second chapter called “Turf Wars” will be available for download in November and the final chapter “Silver Lining” in December, developer Insomniac Games outlined in the PlayStation Blog.
The three-part DLC “The City That Never Sleeps” bundle is currently available for US$24.99 in the PlayStation Store. Individually, each chapter in the series are also available for US$9.99 at the time of their release.
However, “The City That Never Sleeps” series can be download for free if fans have pre-ordered Digital Deluxe Edition.
