Capcom Announced Mega Man Live Action Film

Hollywood will be adapting Mega Man into a live action feature film, Capcom announced today.

Tentatively titled MEGA MAN, the film will be written and directed by the directorial team, Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman (Paranormal Activity 3 & 4, Nerve), and Chernin Entertainment and Masi Oka (Heroes) will be producing it. 20th Century Fox will be distributing the film.

Based on the influential and globally beloved Mega Man franchise, Capcom aims to appeal to a diverse audience, including not only game players but action movie fans as well, with an adaptation that maintains the world of the Mega Man games, while incorporating the grand production and entertainment value that Hollywood movies are known for.

No release date has been announced for the Mega Man live action film.

Fox Pushed Back Dark Phoenix For Summer Release

Just two days after 20th Century Fox unveiled the official trailer for Dark Phoenix, the studio have decided to move Dark Phoenix release date from February 14 to June 7.

20th Century Fox has set an untitled Deadpool movie for December 21, prompting the studio to push back release dates for Alita: Battle Angel, Dark Phoenix, and Gambit.

Alita: Battle Angel will take over Dark Phoenix‘s original February 14 release date, and Dark Phoenix took the June 7 slot from Gambit which is still in development. Gambit is now slated for March 13, 2020.

20th Century Fox has released the official trailer for Dark Phoenix, the latest movie in the rebooted X-Men series. Dark Phoenix is set to release in theaters on February 14, 2019.
