Octopath Traveler will not have DLC, producer Masashi Takahashi confirmed in an interview with Dengeki Online. The producer said the game is “complete” at retail and was created that you can experience it all in one playthrough. The game will not feature new game+ mode.
Masashi Takahashi: “We haven’t even thought of having DLC. The retail version is a complete game.”
Furthermore, Takahashi-san confirmed the game’s main story roughly takes 50-60 hours to finish, or 80-100 hours if you are aiming to be a completionist and do all the optional objectives.
Octopath Traveler launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 13th worldwide. Square Enix has released a brand-new demo for those who want to try that out.
