One notable presence in their ranks is Hellblade developer Ninja Theory.
At their E3 2018 media briefing, Microsoft made clear that they want to create the best place to play the best games. In the middle of the barrage of games premiered and presented, head of Xbox Phil Spencer announced that Microsoft Studios have acquired 5 new teams of creative developers to join their productive portfolio. The teams joining in are The Initiative, led by the former head of Crystal Dynamics; State of Decay developer Undead Labs; Forza Horizon creators Playground Games and Compulsion Games, the team behind We Happy Few.
The fifth and most notable studio in the list is Ninja Theory, who recently relased the critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice.
We look forward to seeing the extent of this partnership and what it will bring to Xbox players.
